This was Wayne ARC's first time attending the popular Trunk or Treat at Lyons Community Center, and we had a blast! Despite a few rain drops later in the afternoon, we had so much fun handing out footballs and candy to all of the local children who came dressed in awesome costumes. We decided to decorate our agency van with a football tailgate theme in mind. Of course, we had a little fun with some of the parents and kids who came by wanting to test their Wayne ARC footballs out with a game of catch. This was a great way to meet people in the community and show everyone who Wayne ARC is. We hope to see more people next year!

Roosevelt Children's Center hosted its annual fall festival for all of the children during school. It was a fun way to go outside and play with all of their friends in a safe and structured environment. Activities included playing in hay, tractor rides and petting small farm animals. The weather ended up being perfect to enjoy all of the outdoor fun.
Thank you to the Rochester Area Community Foundation for all of your hard work to make our communities better places. Wayne ARC was awarded grant money from the Wayne County Community Endowment for two new shredders that will increase business in Key Industries and help the individuals we serve be more productive in their jobs. We sincerely appreciate the support and funding from this group of dedicated and generous people.
Our annual Open House and Book Fair was a huge hit this year. Students were able to take their family and friends through school and show everyone their classrooms. The Scholastic Book Fair raised more than $1,000 in free books for the children of Roosevelt this year. Thank you to everyone who supported us!
